Here are the four skills ALL new reps need to learn if they’re going to ever see long term success in the business, take a look:

- New people need ongoing training to hone their skills
The quicker you can teach your new reps these FOUR skills, the faster they will get results and the faster you can help them get results, the longer they’ll stick around and build the business. Skill #1 – Lead Generation
Your new people need to learn how to generate their own leads, period. Leads are the lifeblood of your business and without them, you will be forced to resort to guerilla marketing tactics and start prospecting everything that breathes which will make you look desperate and actually drive away potential new business and customers.
Instead we need to teach the new person how generate an abundance of leads so that regardless of their experience and while they’re honing their prospecting skills they can feel confident in sharing the products without the weight of making a mistake looming over their shoulders because they’ve already got a massive amount of leads flowing in every single day.

Skill #2 – Converting Leads Into Customers
The second thing your new reps need to learn how to do is to follow up properly with their leads and how specifically to convert those leads into new customers.
The problem with most traditional ways of following up is that there is a HUGE probability of error on the new rep’s part as well as a TON of skill involved in learning how to schedule there follow ups, how to handle overcoming objections and how to ultimately close the sale.
Together, my wife and I have developed a way that we use to follow up with each and every one of our leads WITHOUT ever having anyone slip through the cracks and almost 90% of our follow up process is FULLY automated meaning we can be out on the beach or spending time with loved ones while our “autopilot system” is delivering all the information our leads need and following up with each and every one of them.

What’s really neat about this process is that we only ever talk with people that are serious about becoming a product user or folks that legitimately want to start their own home business and the moment they decide to reach out to us, we are able to sign them up and walk them through the getting started process.
Skill #3 – New Member Coaching
If your brand new rep enrolls their first business builder the same day, would they know how to help their new business builder get up, running and generating results?
This is one of the BIGGEST bottlenecks that will slow your organization down. It’s a lot of pressure on a new person to train their new people if they feel unconfident or unsure of themselves.
Frankly, most “fast start” trainings are so complex that it can take MONTHS to learn and even longer to gain any traction. Your new reps should be able to rely on a system to train their new people instead of all the weight and pressure being placed on their shoulders distracting them from doing the things that actually generate a paycheck: generating new leads.

Skill #4 – Ongoing Training
The final piece to the puzzle is having an ongoing training for your reps that are hungry and coachable. In the past we used to host daily “wake up calls” or weekly google hangouts where we were physically training our new people and creating rapport.

I use to think there was nothing wrong with hosting calls or hangouts and doing trainings every week until I noticed that my team was starting to get lazy. They were starting to get lazy because for better or worse your team will do exactly what you are doing on a daily basis.
What do I mean by that?
Because I had taken my focus off of prospecting and turned my focus to making trainings, my team also began slacking off in their prospecting efforts and I quickly realized that I needed to get back on track and start daily prospecting and generating leads again.
It’s because of this reason that I stopped doing one-on-one coaching and shifted ALL of my focus to generating daily leads and customers because I knew that (for my new reps) that’s what my team truly needed to duplicate to become successful.
