With my new team members, I always train them to help their new team members to invite what we call their “white hot” contacts first. In this post, you’re going to learn who your white-hot contacts are, how to invite them and why this works so well to create momentum throughout your team.

Who are your white hot contacts?
Your white hot contacts are the people you associate with the most, and have the best relationship with. LITERALLY the last 20 people you’ve texted or messaged on facebook messenger.

Those are your white hot contacts. When I’m helping get a new team members started we extend that number from 20 to the last 100 people on their list so that, their very first day of getting started they can connect with a TON of people quickly to help them create results within their first 24 hours of getting started.

How do I invite them to take a look at what I’m doing?
Step 1
First thing we want to do is clear the date with our “white hot” contacts. Here is a simple 2-step “clear the date” formula you can follow. First, I’ll shoot them a text or facebook message that says

“Hey! Are you free on Thursday at 6pm?”

…and wait for a response.

And I don’t reply until they do respond. Now, when they do respond, they’re either going to tell you they’re free or not, and if they are free I continue to step two. (How simple would it be to send this exact message out to your top 20 “white hot” contacts in the next 5 minutes, right now?)

Step 2
OK, step 2, Once they reply, I’ll say:

“Ok, I have an idea I want to run by you. When can you be in front of a computer for about 15 mins today?”

…and then I wait. If they don’t reply I don’t reply. When they give me a time that they can be in front of a computer for 15 mins I’ll say “Cool, I’ll call/text/message you then.”

What do I do next?
Ok, so at this point, you’ve successfully cleared a date/time to possibly meet with them in person (Thurs at 6pm) PLUS you’ve freed up 15 minutes today where you can share some initial information with them.

If you show them some initial information and they hate it, cool, don’t meet with them in person on Thursday.

However if they’re open to more information or have questions, you’ve already cleared a date (Thursday at 6pm) to get them on phone with your sponsor or share a full presentation. Pretty simple eh?
