Some people do fantastic on their facebook.
Some people post religiously yet never have more than a few customers to show for it.
So whats the difference?
What do the folks succeeding on facebook know that you don’t? In today’s post I’m going to show you how you can set up your facebook profile to HELP encourage the growth of new customers and business builders without chasing away everyone that take a look at your profile.
Here we go:
Be a mystery man
Under your “job description” or employment area, if you’ve got your company or products listed, set it so something more secret so that it creates curiosity for people creeping on your profile.
I have mine set to “Self employed” because it tells a lot about me and who I am without actually spilling the beans until I decide someone is ready to sit down for a full presentation on what exactly it is I do.
Don’t Be A Negative Nancy/Pessimist Pete!
Ever wonder why everyone is so negative? This BIGGEST thing that can rob your credibility and joy is to be posting negative things on your wall because you actually attract the EXACT same type of people as you truly are.
That’s one of the reason’s it’s so important to get your thinking straightened out associating with successful people in our profession.
For the love of all things good in this life, stop, stop, STOP posting negative rants, sharing negative media coverage, talking politics or joining in on the latest gossip that comes your way.
You’re better than that.
So it’s time to start acting like a professional.
No links – EVER
That’s right. Not on your wall, not in messenger, NEVER give someone a link and expect them to join. They won’t. They’ll scour the internet and come up with their own hair-brained assumption as to what it is we do based on 5% of the REAL facts and you’ll never hear from them again.
Instead, focus on creating curiosity on your wall, then start a chat with them in messenger, and finally book a time to set down for a full presentation.
People are smart.
If they like it, they’ll join.
If they hate it, they won’t.
No big deal.
Just make sure we are doing our part by properly educating them about what it is we’re actually offering here, and that’s by sharing a full presentation like a professional and not just blasting them a link like some amateur does.
