“I don’t have the money”
People speak in secret code.
People will lie to us.
They don’t really mean to, it’s just the way they are.
If prospects are telling us they don’t have any money, we all know that they are lying.
But they don’t.
Instead of arguing with them like amateurs do, we need to figure out what they’re really saying to us.
What people are really saying when they tell us “I just don’t have the money to join right now” is typically that they just don’t have the extra money right now, or they don’t see the value in what we have to offer.
The solution?
So, what can we do?
Let’s try this.
First let’s clarify what they’re really saying.
Let’s find out if they really want to do this, or if they are really trying to say no but don’t know how or feel comfortable telling us so.
We’ll say, “Well of course you don’t have the money, that’s why I’m talking to you about this. Don’tcha think that’s WHY you should do something like this?”
PRO TIP: *After you ask this question ZIP your lips, and DO NOT say another word until they answer you. They need to process what we just said.
If they say “no”, we’ll let ’em go.
If they say yes, we can say “Let’s get you started, ok? I’ll help you do this.”
These are easy words to learn.
These are easy words to memorize.
And they will save us from chasing people around in circles trying to get an answer out of them.
